Saturday 10 August was a club day.
We started off by introducing a speed turning competition to the membership. Paul turned a garden dibber and asked for turners to produce a copy in the quickest time. We only had four contestants take part. Howard, Dean, Nick and Chris.

The winner was Howard who received a winners certificate and as a prize a packed of carrot seeds. The other entrants were awarded a participation certificate each.

Chris turned a platter on the club lathe while Dean Carter turned a bird on the small lathe.
John Williams and Paul had a sharpening session on the club Tormek and John tried them out with a bit of turning on his own.
